Maggie Stern

Maggie Stern is the Director of Community Engagement at Our Schools Our Democracy, where she leads grassroots organizing, community education, and communications strategy to support Texas public schools and oppose efforts to privatize education. She previously worked at the Children’s Defense Fund of Texas, where she launched the YOUthTX youth leadership program and led local and state policy advocacy with young Texans and their families. Maggie earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Economics from Boston College and a Master in Public Affairs from the LBJ School at UT Austin. In her free time, Maggie can usually be found volunteering at the library, biking to a new coffee shop, and bouldering.
