Sumya Paruchuri

Sumya Paruchuri (they/them) is a youth advocate and freshman at the University of North Texas where they are majoring in Philosophy.

After mobilizing students in their hometown of The Woodlands, Texas, Sumya has come to understand the impact youth can have in policymaking and the decisions that affect them. This led to them joining SEAT, where they now serve as Development Director. Sumya is committed to ensuring every student has their voice heard.

When they’re not trying to better the world, Sumya can be found spending time with friends, listening to Noah Kahan or Conan Gray, reading philosophy, participating in Collegiate Debate, or coaching High School Speech and Debate.
