SEAT is organizing 20+ campus activations ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. SEAT's Campus Freedom Tour draws attention to the policy issues impacting students, including issues of policing, surveillance, gun violence, censorship, and voter suppression.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE NONPARTISAN EVENTS. We request you do not promote a political campaign or party during your participation in the event.
Oct 19 | ACC Rio Grande
SEAT STREET Block Party
Join us at 4:00 PM in the ACC Rio Grande Student Life Lounge (and adjoining patio) for a pre-parade rally featuring tacos de canasta from Regios Tacos a Vapor and all the nonpartisan resources you need for any last-minute ballot research! The Minor Mishap Marching Band will join us at 5:00 PM to lead our parade down 12th Street to vote at the Austin Recreation Center (1301 Shoal Creek Blvd). RSVP here!
Oct 20 | UT San Antonio
Mariachi Performance
Come for a live mariachi performance and stay for the free burritos. We'll be celebrating culture and exercising our civic duty, advocating freedoms for our student body, urging against policing and surveillance, and seeking to restore undocumented students' access to in-state tuition. RSVP here!
Oct 20 | University of Houston
Uncle Sam & the Ballot Box
This party at the polls will feature live music, performances, and a campus favorite: free Arlo's coffee cart. As censorship and voter suppression comes down hard on Texas students, we are showing up fearlessly to the ballot box. RSVP here!
Oct 21 | UT Austin
Speak Out The Vote
SEAT will be handing out free paletas (popsicles) to all who take a seat at our table and share what matters to them in the upcoming election. Participate in this social media activation for free swag and a community that has your back. RSVP here!
Oct 22 | UT Austin
Speak Out The Vote
We're looking to hear from students about what matters to them! Come grab a seat, take the microphone, and speak out for equity and justice. Find us popping up on West Mall, and join us at 12pm for a Silent Walk with faculty to mourn academic freedom at the Main Building.
Oct 22 | Texas A&M
Black Carpet & Film Screening
Join us at 5-7pm for the Censored Choice Awards "black carpet" activation before taking a seat at 7pm to watch the SXSW 2026 documentary, First They Came For My College, about the hostile conservative takeover of New College in Florida. Your favorite books and courses might have become targets for censorship. Who will get the accolades this year? RSVP here!
