Claire Lewis

Claire Lewis (she/her), is a student, creator, and organizer based in San Antonio, Texas. Her work is dedicated to protecting and uplifting free speech in public education by empowering students in social justice movements. From Palestine to anti-ICE, she values intersectionality at the core of her work.

Claire proudly joined SEAT’s team as the Communications Associate because she believes advocacy and policy work needs to be made accessible and approachable for all students through organizational messaging, branding, and communication strategy.

When she was a senior in high school, Claire founded a local grassroots non-profit, San Antonio Students for Peace (SASP). In 2026, SASP continues to build a third-space for advocacy initiatives to bridge social justice movements across high school students, college students, and the community in San Antonio. Through content creation and virtual communication, she has found her expertise through advocacy on social media. In early 2026, during the wave of student walkouts in protest of ICE, through reels, walkout guides, and expanding our virtual network, SASP reached over 1.3 million people and gained over 5.8K followers on Instagram in just a month. Claire has been featured in 2026 articles in Texas Monthly, San Antonio Express, and SA Current.

After undergrad, Claire aspires to obtain her Masters in Communications to continue non-profit work, enter political messaging, serve as a spokesperson, and potentially work in higher education.
