Texas students: We want to hear from you!
Did you know that Texas passed a law requiring public schools to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms?
Youth advocates are gathering student perspectives and experiences to help inform an amicus brief in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Whether you support the law, oppose it, or aren't sure how you feel, your voice matters!
Take our short survey.
Access the survey at StudentsEngaged.org/10. It takes approximately 5–8 minutes. Please share with other Texas students with this outreach template!
Deadline to respond: November 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Important Guidelines
- Keep participation voluntary. No student should feel pressured to complete the survey or express a particular opinion.
- Don't influence responses. Encourage students to answer honestly and in their own words. Avoid suggesting what they should say.
- Protect student privacy. Don't collect students' responses yourself, ask for sensitive personal information, or share anyone's story without permission.
- Be inclusive. Students from every religious and nonreligious background should feel welcome to participate.
- Direct students to the survey. If someone wants to share a personal experience, encourage them to submit it through the survey rather than in a public group chat.
Our Collective Goal
We hope to gather stories and perspectives from students across Texas that illustrate how the Ten Commandments law affects young people in public schools.
These responses may help inform a student-centered report and legal advocacy before the Supreme Court.
The most important thing is that students have the opportunity to speak for themselves. Thank you for helping elevate Texas student voices!
